Soil Sampling
Why soil test?
A soil test will help you identify nutrient needs for your lawn, flower beds or garden crops. Soil test recommendations will guide your fertilizer applications to prevent over application. You can also use soil test results to choose the right plants to plant based on soil conditions and to help diagnose what went wrong if good plants go bad.
What type of information does a soil test provide?
A standard soil test provides information about soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), lime requirement index and base saturation. The soil test will also provide phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) levels.
